Beginner Quilt
Date: Monday, January 9, 16, 23, 30 & February 6 or Tuesday, January 10, 17, 24, 31 & February 7
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Fee: Five sessions/$60 plus pattern and materials
This class has a 99.9% "graduation rate" (actually, it's probably higher than that, but we don't want to brag.)
Learn safe rotary cutting, conquer that all important 1/4" seam, find out which way to press the seams, attach ripple-free borders, make a smooth quilt sandwich, machine quilt your first masterpiece, bind the edge -- and you've made a quilt (you are now a quilter). Low stress - great results! WARNING!! Quilt making is addictive!

Fussible Appliqué

Pattern: "Flamingo"
Learn the basics of fusible appliqué to create a small piece. This is a great class to practice and learn the secrets behind fusible appliqué before starting the upcoming Block of the Month. Also a good refresher class. Beginners are welcome!

Get to Know Your Sewing Machine - Crash Course

Solve the mysteries of your sewing machine and more in this informative class that will help boost confidence, and build important skills that will help get you on your way to reaching your sewing goals.
T-Shirt Quilt

Is your closet shelf or dresser stuffed with T-shirts you no longer wear but can't bear to part with? Has your spouse or child been begging you to make them a T-shirt quilt? Turn those sweet memories into something useful - a quilt!!
You will learn the secrets of making a one-of-a-kind T-shirt quilt. In the first session you will prepare the tees and finalize the quilt layout then in the second session we will learn how to sew it all together. You will be surprised to see how quickly a pile of T-shirts can be recycled into a wonderful quilt packed with fond memories!

Here is your opportunity to learn the versatile technique of Paper Piecing. Mastering this technique will give you the opportunity to try some very intricate quilt patterns. This class is for students who have already taken the beginning quilt class or are experienced quilters. This is a prerequisite class for the Bali Wedding Star quilt class

Kraft Krates

Now it's time to get organized for the new year. These decorative krates will hold up a lot of stuff. Use them for storing your UFO's or other thing in you sewing area. Easy to make and you can't stop with just one.

Keyboard Kaleidoscope
Date:Tuesday, January 24 & 31

This quilt is made with 4-patch kaleidoscopes. Here's your chance to showcase those wonderful large prints! Create a striking kaleidoscope quilt with simple four-patches, star blocks, and strips. The secret is choosing a fabric with a large design repeat (recommended 12" or greater).
Finished size is 40" x 40" table topper, 72" x 72" throw, 80" x 88" twin, 95" x 105" queen, or 105" x 105" king.

Vintage Moments
Date: Saturday, January 28, February 25, March 24, April 21 & May 19
Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Fee: 5 sessions/ $75 plus materials and pattern
Join us every month to learn a new technique, creating a block or two ( or three!) maybe even doing the hole quilt. It's you choice. We will be using The pattern Vintage Moments to create a 90" x 90" quilt. Se the sample in the store. Month 1 - Try Le Moyne Stars and learn easy set - in seams Month 2 - Half square triangles are a snap when you use Triangles on a roll Month 3 - Paper Piecing and appliqué will start fan blocks and curves are a cench when you use a couple of easy tips to add them. Month 4 - Have you ever wanted to make a Feathered Star? Now' the time! Month 5 - The in's and out's of finishing your quilt and making bias binding are this month's topic.

The Appliqué Society's mission is to promote, to teach, and to encourage the love of all types of appliqué in quilting. Melbourne's chapter, Appliqué Under the Oaks, meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am to noon.
Misty's Sew Social
This is a great opportunity to set aside Friday mornings for some time to stitch with friends. Bring along your projects and machine and enjoy the chit chat.
